4. DFH Logistics Solution and Shipping Process

DFH provided a China warehouse receiving address for the customer’s suppliers and coordinated the cargo from order follow-up and warehouse receiving to packaging, consolidation, ocean transportation, customs clearance, and final delivery.

Step 1: Receive Orders at Our China Warehouse

We provided our warehouse address for the customer’s suppliers to send the finished orders. As the goods arrived from different suppliers, we received and checked the cargo before preparing it for consolidated shipping.

Step 2: Follow Up with Suppliers

Because the products were customized, we helped the customer communicate with his suppliers and follow up on production progress and shipment readiness. This made it easier to know when each order could be sent to our warehouse.

Step 3: Rebuild the Unstable Pallet

One pallet arrived in poor condition and was nearly falling apart. We rebuilt and secured the pallet before shipment to improve its stability during loading and transportation.

Step 4: Prepare Custom Wooden Packaging

Since a large part of the shipment was fragile, we arranged custom wooden crate packaging for better protection. The 8 cartons of lighting products were packed into 1 wooden crate, while the 102 cartons of cookware and 229 cartons of plates, bowls, and dishes were prepared in 11 wooden crates. The 45 cartons of balloons were loaded onto 1 pallet, bringing the final shipment to 13 pieces in total.

Step 5: Consolidate and Arrange Ocean Freight DDP

After all orders were ready, we consolidated the cargo into one shipment and arranged ocean freight DDP door-to-door. Ocean freight provided a practical option for the 26.5 CBM shipment while keeping transportation costs reasonable.

Step 6: Handle US Customs and Final Delivery

Under the agreed DDP terms, we handled the US import customs clearance and duties, so the customer did not need to manage these procedures himself. After clearance, the cargo was arranged for final delivery to Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
